Building a Community for Impact Investors

Founded in 2020 and incubated by SVX, Impact United was created and envisioned as a movement of impact investors and asset owners across Canada seeking to mobilize their investment capital towards social, economic and environmental justice. Since its public launch in 2021, Impact United has connected individuals and organizations to share, learn, and collaborate with each other, and supported research and education initiatives for the collective benefit of Canada’s impact investor community.

In 2025, Impact United Academy was established as an independent charitable organization to focus on stewarding and supporting this national community of individual and institutional investors and asset owners who are committed to building knowledge, sharing resources, and advancing collaborative action. Our mission is to mobilize all forms of capital for systemic change and transformative impact by convening, educating, and empowering investors through peer learning, research, and thought leadership.
